My name 'Shruti' means listening or a simple musical note. In a world full of noise, I've found that the best solutions - whether in technology or in life - often emerge when we listen carefully to the patterns.
The Foundation: Roots, Resilience & Reinvention
I grew up in Bhilai, India's Steel City, in India, surrounded by people who embodied perseverance, craftsmanship, and quiet determination. Those values continue to shape who I am today.
My journey hasn't been a straight line. Like any meaningful engineering project, it has involved iterations, setbacks, and continuous refinement. I've made mistakes, faced challenges, and encountered unexpected detours, but each experience became valuable feedback rather than failure.
Those moments strengthened my resilience, sharpened my work ethic, and taught me that the most reliable systems and people are often the ones that have been tested, improved, and rebuilt.
The Spark: Why Technology?
I was drawn to technology because it sits at the intersection of logic and creativity.
During my undergraduate studies at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, a professor introduced me to the worlds of AI, data science, and robotics. That exposure sparked a curiosity that eventually became a career path.
For me, software engineering is more than writing code. It's about transforming ideas into products, uncovering patterns in complexity, and solving problems that matter. Every system tells a story; my role is to understand it, improve it, and help it scale.
As a woman in technology, I've learned that diverse perspectives aren't just important- they're essential. The strongest products emerge when different viewpoints are heard, challenged, and thoughtfully combined.
The Balance: Precision Meets Presence
While I'm driven by ambitious goals and technical rigor, I believe sustainable performance matters more than hustle.
I love being deeply immersed in a flow state - whether I'm building machine learning systems, exploring new technologies, or learning something completely outside my comfort zone. At the same time, I've learned that creativity and clarity thrive when life has balance.
Music, meaningful conversations, community, and curiosity are just as important to me as technical growth.
They help me stay grounded, energized, and connected to the people behind the technology.
The Social Layer: Listening & Building
My engineering approach begins with ideation, product market fit, and listening to users' pain points.
Listening to users. Listening to data. Listening to teammates. Listening to problems that haven't been clearly articulated yet.
The best engineers don't simply build solutions—they understand people.
As I continue growing as a Software and Machine Learning Engineer, and eventually toward product leadership, I want to create technology that feels intuitive, human, and impactful.
Because great products aren't built by the loudest voices in the room.
They're built by those who listen closely enough to understand what truly matters.
